So it has been a really, really long time since I have posted on my blog!! I am sure no one is reading this anymore since I haven't done anything with it in almost a year!!! However it has been quite a year since I updated last!
Just before Christmas last year my friend Casey, mentioned in the previous post, had her adorable baby girl Lily! Look how big shes gotten already! She's precious! Looks just like her mama!

Last year the week after Christmas, Michael and I drove down to Key West to spend a week with his family. On New Year's Eve the whole crew went into the town of Key West for dinner and to celebrate New Year's Eve. After spending time in the harbor watching the sun set on the first decade of the twenty-first century, we all walked to Kelly's for dinner. While there Michael asked if I wanted to go for a walk since dinner was taking forever (I failed to mention that we were a party of 30 or so). At first I told him no that I was just fine waiting here at the table. But eventually, after several minutes of pestering and me getting annoyed, he convinced me to take a walk. We went out onto the balcony at Kelly's to watch the people passing by and look at the Christmas decorations that were still up. It was on this balcony that Michael got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!! I was totally shocked!!! And eventually found the words to say YES!!
(Disregard the fact that this is a picture of ring taken on Michael's finger.... hahahaha long story)
So since then, life has been crazy with wedding planning and parties! :0)
Shortly after we got engaged, my brother and his girlfriend Danielle also got engaged and are planning an October 2011 wedding.
Our wonderful friends Emily and Travis got engaged also and are planning a May 2011 wedding.
One of my best friends, who got engaged about a year before Michael and I is getting married in October. Then we are getting married on November 20, 2010!! I cannot wait!!!! Less than two months now!!!!
Let's see what else has happened.... Michael's cousin Kristen got married in May - she was a beautiful bride!!!

Michael and I obviously had a wonderful time!! ha!
The Gamecocks won the National Championship in baseball. FINALLY the Gamecocks are champs in something!!! ;0) To honor the baseball team the state house flew the Gamecock flag...
My sister, Ashley, graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and made the excellent decision to move down here to Columbia and attend the University of South Carolina for her master's degree. It is so nice having her so close! And it at just the right time!!! As my maid of honor she has had to do a lot more than she bargined for since she is now in the same town as me! Hahahahaha I am forever in-debted to her for all of her help!! She's awesome!! Here she is during our shopping trip for bridesmaid dresses - this is actually the one I chose, even though Ashley hates it.....
Well, I have to run now, but many more updates coming soon!!!
